Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering

The undergraduate program offers an exciting environment for students interested in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering. Through course work, co-ops and internships, students are prepared for careers in the aerospace industry, government laboratories, and a variety of fields not normally associated with aerospace engineering. Our students can be found in the medical field, software companies, the military and automotive industry among others.

Our students will:

  • Develop strong physical insight on the fundamentals of present and future air and space transportation systems.
  • Learn to use analytical and computational methods for applying their knowledge in the fundamentals of the discipline to solution of engineering problems, including the use of current experimental and data analysis techniques.
  • Learn to work collaboratively and creatively, and to communicate effectively, in applying discipline-specific knowledge in basic sciences and aerospace engineering.
  • Understand the need for life-long learning and the responsibility of the engineer to behave professionally and ethically in the solution of societal problems.
